A plugin? I'll look, but there is a manual way to do it that isn't to hard.

Refine Edge is not available in GIMP, I requested a transcription on another forum 2 weeks ago, but there's no answer yet :/

EDIT:

You can try GML Matting with PSPI:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10345
Or you can try the 2.7 version of Gimp... it has an improved foreground selection tool which will work similarly..

But, you know blubox is for removing green/blue backgrounds and comes with GAP. I can't get it to work well :(

Also, if it's any help, here's an interesting tut on removing background colors from hair: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnbxtMCHKV0

Yeah just download and install the PSPI plug in in your plug-ins folder.
Restart GIMP, and go to Filters/Photo shop Plug in Path
Click on it and a dialog like the GIMP path dialog will come up.Point GIMP to your 8bf's, or folders containing them using that dialog.

Restart GIMP...and there are your plug-ins.

I am not sure if photo shop key 3 will work thru GIMP though.Being a separate program plug in like alien it might.
Test it and see. =)
