Search in topics

Postby David » Sat Jun 21, 2008 12:56 pm

Hello, recently I came across a few things that might improve gimper.net technically

Right now there is a search, but it looks globally in the forum. Right now we can add a search in the TOPIC, which will allow the users to search specific things. (Example, if the topic has over 200 pages, it'll be helpful to just search)

phpBB isn't as good as google, they cant build relational phrases. they just do a keyword hunt.

there is no way comparison of google and phpBB as google is search engine and phpbb is forum :P
phpBB has to search within a single website of its own database
whereas google has to index the whole web :P
