Hi

Is there any way to get the themes working for the 64 bit version of 2.6.10 for windows?
I get the dark colors from Aurora-Midnight, the theme i'd like to use but I think the libaurora.dll is not working with the x64 version.

With the normal 32 bit version of Gimp 2.6.xx I have no problems at all but I don't really want to use that one over the x64 build.

Any suggestions?

For some reason, I downloaded this I don't know how many times and I still can get it to work. I was wondering in anybody here knows how to get these themes to work in gimp version 2.6.11? It would be a big help

For Gimp-2.6.11 it is pretty easy to install.
Close Gimp if it is opened.
Just download the Windows installer and double click it to run the setup.
It will place a theme selector shortcut on your desktop.
Double click the shortcut to open it, (this opens the theme selector program dialog), and choose a theme click okay to submit the change and re-open Gimp.

Thanks Rod for a site link. How about your neon blue? Can it be downloaded and used? It looks cool because of the dark theme and colored text.

Does anyone know if these work in Windows 64-bit? I have Windows 7 x64 but used the 32-bit version since it was more stable, but I feel adventurous...

I'd hate to have to go back to using the default theme though.

If im not wrong, all this does is take the theme files and overwrites em with some new ones with your theme.
So in theory you could copy the theme files from the 32-bit and throw it in the 64-bit.
But im not sure if i bothered with theme on my 64-bit...

They will work if you install into the correct program directory for 32 bit programs.
If you install it into your regular programs for 64 bit the dll files (engines) won't load.

You need to copy this to the USERFOLDER\gimp-2.6\gtkrc file AND the C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\etc\gtk-2.0 gtkrc file. Do this in notepad ++.
Be sure and copy a backup of your originals to a safe place first or rename them both to OLDgtkrc or something.
Then you need to take the attached libcleanice.dll file and place it in
\GIMP-2.0\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines folder

Halleuya: GIMP 2.8 is out. Now I'm wondering how to make Gimp Themes work in the new version. I'm on a Windows 7 (64bit). Has anyone had time to mess with it yet? I love the new brush layout and dynamics. But I just don't want to fall back to the default theme if I can help it. I tried to install it and it keeps creating another GIMP-2.0 folder. So I tried to move the files into the new Gimp version with no luck. If you know of a fix, I'll happily give you my first born.

Been there, done that, still says 'Cannot find libatk-1.0-0.dll' . Why, oh why?

Add "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\32\bin" to your Windows Environment Path (adjust if you installed gimp in a different folder)
