GIMP: 1x1 id picture!

It's my first time here, and really a newbie when using GIMP!

It's been a month or two since I used Ubuntu Linux including GIMP. I think it's like Photoshop in Linux, only a lot easier to use. But sad part is, when I am applying some filters, well, most of them does not have a preview.

Anyway, I am planning to make an ID Picture with GIMP. How can I make one? What's the size of a 1X1 id picture and a Passport size picture? I am planning to make one in my laptop then develop it in some developing center like Kodak.

hi karlo, if your going to print it out then you will need 300dpi so for 1x1inch at 300dpi would be 297x286 pixels.
