glitter text?

ever try gap? its a gimp animation package..

unless u meant a static glitter effect..then i have no idea..

but i can look into it

i can do static with a photoshop plugin 
get pspi which lets u run photoshop plugins in gimp, install it
then download the photoshop plugin glitterato by flaming pear and install it
now u can add a glittery effect not animated but cool

here download the windows version it has a windows icon next to it,
ok now install the plugin with the instrucitons on pspis page
should work for you
