subject line sums it up pretty much.
I did the text-to-path tutorial, got familiar with path basics, if that counts.
Such as that sweeping curve in the text of my signature image below, as an example.
Now,Visualize a clock. The hands at the 10 & 4 o'clock position. That is my plane. So I want to draw a curve which arcs spanning rainbow-style from the 10 to the 4 o'clock. Remember I want to use the Path-Tool because I want to Text-to-Path.
Well so far I have seen no other way besides manually inputting the path gradients. And for me it seems to be a crap shoot at getting any consistency with symmetry.
How can I create these curves symmetrically, whether 10 to 4 o'clock, 2 to 7 o'clock, or even along the ole X or Y vert or horz 12/6 9/3 axises. Sorry if I'm "over-explaining" a bit. This is a nuisance to me. I was surprised not to see some tool-assist feature built in addressing this. Please advise. Thanks.
