Curves Question

Postby humblejohnny20 » Tue Aug 16, 2011 5:02 pm

How would one brighten the end of the darks spectrum just a teeny bit using curves? (without touching anything non-dark)?

My workaround is usually just to select by color (a dark color, and make a new inverted layer on screen blendmode at low opacity).

Move the left edge of the curve up a bit, the left side is for the dark tones.

kinda off topic: on photography, try moving the bottom left corner towards the right and the top left corner to the left a bit. then add an S-shaped curve. adds some nice effects.
