In GIMP 2.4.7 I check a box to Use color from gradients with paintbrush tool.
How is this done on GIMP 2.8.0 with no box to check?
Both are on Mac computers.

You now have to create your own dynamic brush.

Thank you Rod for your efforts.
The dynamic brush set up is too complicated for me and I cannot see the benefits of it.
I will continue to use the so much easier GIMP 4.2.7 as long as it or my old mac lasts
or until someone figures out how to access gradients in GIMP 4.8.0 as easily.
