The usual installation command returns errors
~$ sudo apt-get install gimp-plugin-registry

Can anyone provide a solution to the problem. GIMP without Save for Web plugin is unable to save optimized PNG's. Here's the same question on askubuntu http://askubuntu.com/questions/22034/ca ... n-registry

When I press the install button the link is being opened in USC with the following error:
'There isn’t a software package called “gimp-save-for-web” in your current software sources.'

EDIT:
I couldn't get past through it so I tried looking up the deb through bing. This is what came up http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-11.10/getdeb-app ... l#download I installed the package today and got save for web plugin fully working! I hope the site is legit. Please let me know if it's not.
