No Menu Bar at Toolbox Window in SnowLeopard

I'm running Gimp 2.6.8 on a Snow Leopard (1.6.2) MacBook and don't have a Menu Bar at Toolbox Window. My X11 is the Apple provided version (2.3.4) .

The image bellow is the screenshot of Mac Menubar, Toolbox Window and a New Image Window.



I don't know if it is important, but I have previously installed multiple versions of Gimp and my machine was originally a leopard (10.5.x) box.

Any clue on how to fix it?

... there's no menubar in the Toolbox window in GIMP 2.6.x

yeah, 2.6 removed the menu from the toolbox and added it to that middle window.
