Pspi.exe for Mac?

Hey new here so sorry if this is in the wrong spot or anything, but...

I have seen before a windows plugin called pspi.exe that allows windows Gimp to run photoshop .8bf filters. I was wondering if something like this has been developed for Mac versions of Gimp, or if one could possibly be created someday?

...since pspi is open source (afaik), somebody has to port it to OS X. Are you yolunteering?

If I knew how I would, but sadly I do not know how to, or what "port it to OS X" means...

Just curious, but would it be possible to use the pspi.exe file using WINE? I've been looking at it and it seems like it is made to run .exe files. Not sure if it would work or not, but its something I'm looking into.

I've been trying to see if it would work, but for some reason I can't figure out how to run the program. If anyone else could give it a shot, be my guest (:

nope... that won't run.

As said before. You need to port it to OS X and to the way GIMP on OS X has been build.
