My big gripe, though, is that the gun is the focal point, not Bumblebee. He is extremely blurred, while the gun is way oversharpened.

hehe, well the gun/the light in the gun is the focal, therfore the text, Light...
I think i accedentely hit some checkboxes on the text tool, and thats why its pixely... il check into it tomorow, but keep commenting!
The gun being oversharpened is the result of a clipping mask/smudging thingy not working 100%
X = Not done
V = Done or atleast tried to fix it
Please copy, past and add the problems to this list:
X - Text is pixely

X - Bumblebee is not the focal

Ok, the gun is over sharpened.
What I love about this is you did something different, unique. You took a different part of the render and made IT THE FOCAL! CHEERS!

Aside from the oversharpening, it is very grainy. But it is your best so far.

you can not make him the focal, since he is in the bg of the render. So you HAVE TO blur him for depth (of field) reasons!
