Could you tell me how can I save my keyboard shortcuts for the gimp so that next time when i'll setup windows and gimp to access the file and have all the keyboard shortcuts already configured. 10x a lot!

hey Mr Gimper I used the Gimp Themes to set up my Gimp. However I noobed it up and somehow locked the Font selection up on it. Now when I open GIMP themes it just tells me, "You should try restarting all your programs".
Every time I do, it doesn't change anything. Now I've uninstalled Gimp twice, Gimp themes several times, and restarted, all that, but still no change, I have this font that pretty much makes GIMP unusable for me and I don't know how to fix it...plz help.

For those who don't see any major difference between the themes, please make sure gimp is not running when (re)installing the package.

It worked with the older versions of Gimp, but I can't get it to work with Gimp 2.6.7 at all. I relocated the gimp themes files into the correct folders, I changed the paths in the shortcut , and I copied all of the themes into the correct share folder. When I ran the program it ran correctly, but when I run Gimp 2.6.7 there is no change at all. I have no clue as to why it wont work.

I found that in Gimp 2.6.7, if I copy all the themes to the themes directory in share and then go into themes in preferences they are listed there. They only work minimally. Very minimally. I hope someone can come up with something that works better.

I hate posting 3 in a row, but I can't edit my prior posts. I have been playing with the themes settings and the only theme difference that I have actually be able to verify is using the "Small" theme. It makes my icons smaller. All of the other themes have large icons. The colors and fonts are the same, regardless of theme selected. Any suggestions that anyone might have would be greatly appreciated!

I have my GIMP installed in an alternative location. Sorry, but this

also if you installed gimp in another folder other then default then your going to need to point the installation to where you installed gimp.

tells me nothing. I didn't see where in the process of installation I could point the installer to my actual GIMP location. Can someone provide a proper procedure?

I'm on Windows 7 x64

Why I did so far:
1. Just after installation I got only two themes to choose from - the ones already available in GIMP preferences?

2. I copied the themes and executables from

Effect:
First of all a mess, I know. I got a list of themes but only fonts were changing. Same with choosing themes from within GIMP preferences.

4. Finally I copied

c:\Program Files (x86)\GTK2-Runtime\share\themes\

Effect: It seems that it started to work - the themes effectively change the looks of my GIMP but with some black holes or unthemed fields.


5. I started copying new themes from http://art.gnome.org/themes/gtk2/?page=1
to

c:\Program Files (x86)\GTK2-Runtime\share\themes\

Effect: It worked again!


6. Current situation: It stopped working for some reason and I'm stuck on some semi-native windows theme. I would really like to uninstall my GIMP and GTK and start all over as per a proper procedure I requested.

I've put mine in C:\Program Files\Gimp 2.6\bin, because it has the file libatk-1.0-0.dll in it, but when I open up Gimp Themes, it still says "Cannot Find libatk-1.0-0.dll" Why does it do it? Have I done something wrong?

First, I installed it in the folder it gives you at the start. It didn't work, so I un-installed and re-installed in the same folder, but I clicked browse. Didn't work still, so I did the same thing except putting it in C:\Program Files\Gimp 2.6\bin, where it does have the file it says it can't find, but when I opened it, again, still said couldn't find it. What is going on?

Reinstall it in the default location, once it's done, go to your start menu, all programs, GIMP, Gimp Themes Choose the theme you want, and and click ok, when it tells you it's going to overwrite the theme file, choose yes. Hope this helps!
