Editing

I am trying to edit a purposely overexposed picture on i-photo. It is very white. The only thing is my lap top keeps slowing right down on this one and the spinning wheel keeps appearing. It is really annoying as I can't get anything done. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Also why won't my Mac let me download the gimp user manual?

Maybe Gimp runs slow depending on the size or dimension of the image you are editing. The user manual works fine for me but in Windows.

Down at the bottom of the page there's a Mac User Manual, I never used it so I cannot tell you whether it's good.
