I'm not happy with the white.
Does the green in the star look funky? Or moldy?
It needs something.

First of all, it looks very cool It reminds me of a party invitation card or a flyer. I'd change the star's color to a more orange-ish tone though (but only slightly).

I'd take the green out, it's clashing with the warm colors. As for getting rid of the white, a little color balance should do the trick.
