I've been having one of the worst artist blocks ever. So I decided to go back to a whored out smudge style and decided to do it with some new stuff I learnt. This is what I got and hopefully this will lift the block.

Awesome smudging, good color... bad comp :/
It kinda looks pasted

It's just too boring. It needs more different effects and details or there's really no reason that people would be interested in looking at it. Especially when it has been seen a hundred times.

I understand. I mentioned about the artist block I had and I wanted to start signatures again with something simple to make. So anyways. Any tips on the lighting would help.

I plaid for 20 seconds!
I would try some small sharp fractals to increase the sence of depth...

Hmm. It would be rather too late to create lighting like that now. Or I'd have to go back a dozen layers . Simply burning over it will make it worse. I did though use fractals. They looked really bad. I topaz'd them out. Still visible on the sig. Btw can anyone link me to those star field things. Its like just small white dots (I think 1px) over a black bg. I've seen them used on some tutorials. I don't know what they're called so I can't find them. Since that is what I wanted to use in this sig.
