Realistic looking flag - my first GIMP tutorial.

I hope I did everything when making this tutorial. I used the search field to try and find it but couldn't that's why I think I might have done something wrong. But maybe it takes a while before it will pull up there. But here is the link if you want to see it.

Here is what the finished product looks like. Hopefully I can figure out how to get it viewable.

no offense but i tthink it neesd some colour adjustments and most importantly a texture. It looks good , but it doesnt look like a flag. So u need some tissue pic to put on top and play with the layer mode!

That's because of how small the image is. When it's at full resolution 1600x900 you can see the texture in the silk. But yes if you are doing this as a small image you could add a texture to the flag before combining it with the ripples.

even when it's full res it still looks better with the cloth.

maybe if u make it look k=like it is a lil old, have the corners or a side be kind of ripped off.
