Today i'm going to teach you how to make a basic signature using GIMP.
1. Downloading GIMP, You can download gimp at
http://www.gimp.org/
2. Now you want to make it look nice so download some fonts here.
http://www.dafont.com/
3. For a better effect with your signature download some brushes here.

Then search GIMP brush.

Step 1.
Open GIMP start a new project make it 420 x 200.
Once you have done that go to http://planetrenders.net/
And find a render.
Here's an example http://planetrenders.net/renders/display...at=0&pos=1
Copy the image and then go back to GIMP
File > Open Location,
Paste the link.
Now copy the render and make a new layer on your project and paste the render. Use the move tool and put it in the middle of the image.
Now go to filter > distorts > shift.
Adjust it to around 147 then click ok.
Add a new layer and paste the render back in.
Now go to Filter > Noise > Pick.
Tone all of the settings up to 100, Then check randomize.
Now make a new layer and use the same render.
Now move it to your liking.
Now use a fractal once you downloaded it.
You can use any one you'd like.
Open as layers > "Your Fractal" .
Now press ctrl + L
Now Change the mode of the layer to additon.
Now move it around to your liking.
Once you have done that you should have something like this.

I change a few things while playing around with it.
But it should look something like that.
Now.
The best part adding the text.
Now when people add text the usally fail
but here's what to do.
Find a nice text.
And add a text layer now go to
Filter > Render > Lava.
Now go to
Select > None.
Play around with the text to your liking.
Now adding a boarder.
Alot of GFX pro's use boarders now.. How to do it!
Filter > Decor > Add boarder.
Make the color black and choose your size.
If you mess up use ctrl + Z to go back.
Once you have done that your done.
