Looking Good! The only part I would change is instead of erasing the layers with the brush create a layer mask so you can go back and make changes.

I thought about that aswell, but I wanted to keep it a beginner tutorial, and I remember that I didn't get the whole process of layer masking when first reading about them.
And because I didn't want to explain too much, I just reommended the eraser The layer mask tut will come in the Magazine

Really nice tutorial ! Enjoyed the technic with the vine brushes Knew it with other things like plasma or the sparks brush, but never tried it with the vine brush good to know !

And maybe upload the c4ds you used and post them inhere This would be very beginner friendly

o Render and text size. It's not wrong but IMO the render needs to be bigger and the text needs to be smaller.

- Placement of render and text
- The render has some of the distorted things over it's main focal point (e.g. face, eyes etc)

It's not bad, it just need some more things (and propably a better render, you're right ). Add more C4Ds to get a better flow and fix a bit at the border I guess. That should make it less empty and therefor better
