Nice tut and I'll try this. I have a qustion though. WHy do most of you guys prefer to "washout" your sigs? Like there's some sort of white dustiness on the whole sig? If it was a tv screen I'd say lower the contrast. I know it's an effect you want, I'm just wondering why. If i'm not making any sense, I'm talking about the layer of light/whiteness in the foreground on Cyril's, Roma's sigs and the end result sig of this tut.

Please help me understand.

It's really just a style. I prefer less contrasted tags. Also if theres less contrast the tag will match better, rather than lots of contrast, which will make the tag seem more messy.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I'm going to give this tut a good try now. Just have one comment on your end result. In the bottom right, to the left of the background image (posters for camel and kool cigs) did you man to leave that eraser looking white border around the c4d? Or did I find a mistake? lol

I am in way over my head on this tut. I decided to mess around with the gradient mapping mostly. I so dont understand clipping masks. I need to look at one of them tut's. Here is what I did and for me it's damn good! lol I tried following the lighting and all but I know you'll let me know what's good/bad.

what's wrong with blue snow? lol I think my biggest problem is that I just don't understand this kind of style. I like all the stuff you guys make, but to do it I just get lost.
