Hi WMK, glad you like the tutorial, the problem I see is that you are displacing the wrong shoulder, the background is going from the bottom left to the top right, but the displacement is going in the opposite direction. :)

You also have to fool around with blend modes and sometimes duplicating the displace and using a different blend mode. Also the render you picked doesn't have the best colors to work with.But don't give up, keep trying and you'll soon figure it out. ;D

you need more highlights in the purple. Also the lightning things are your focal, whereas your render should be it. the text is hard to read! ;)

That's not bad LinX, it looks like your displacing more then his shoulder though, the displace blends too well, it's also kinda small, hard to see the details. :)
