Wow I could really use some help, here is what I got, please help me out!

Hi WMK, glad you like the tutorial, the problem I see is that you are displacing the wrong shoulder, the background is going from the bottom left to the top right, but the displacement is going in the opposite direction.

So I should displace the other shoulder?

Yup, make it displace to the upper right.

You also have to fool around with blend modes and sometimes duplicating the displace and using a different blend mode. Also the render you picked doesn't have the best colors to work with.But don't give up, keep trying and you'll soon figure it out.

I think its cool, but if i dont say it, some one else will:

other than that, i think the render seems to not be... involved with the bg...

you need more highlights in the purple. Also the lightning things are your focal, whereas your render should be it. the text is hard to read!

That's not bad LinX, it looks like your displacing more then his shoulder though, the displace blends too well, it's also kinda small, hard to see the details.
