;D Hi there!

I really like to play with Gimp tools. I'm not a pro-user indeed, but
I would like to be...

Just came by with a bunch of questions...

My first one is about the ZOOM (blur) filter.
I found an olllld tutorial at http://www.absolutecross.com called Alien Text Effect.
http://www.absolutecross.com/tutorials/ ... ext-effect
Could not get that beautiful dubbed radial zoom effect in Gimp but maybe
some expert user could help me out to get there...

It seems that Adobe PS have a radial blur that works zoom fx at same time.
But I want to know how to get that same results using Gimp (I don't have PS).

Thanx in advance!

When you go to blur there is a checkbox that says 'blur outward' first blur out ward and then redo the effect but uncheck the box to blur inward. :)

Oh, I know that David. Thank you for that.

I think 'I got the point'.
The problem was that in the first steps of blurring inside those letters without get the center point properly positioned.
So the colors got more visible i the first letter and not at the center of the text.

Then the last step when we get that zoom effect like the light was passing thru the text
the brighter colors got out side instead to keep focused in the center of the text.

THANX A LOT, David.

I'll keep wrestling against that center parameters (X,Y values)... ;)

Just divide the width and the height values to get the center parameters.
