Hi ya'll I have never made anything with gimp photoshop or any other graphics program but you gotta start somewhere so here I am. I really want to learn how to use this program cause what little I've play with it so far is very cool. But first I need to learn how to make a signature I kinda got but any help will be great. but that is another post altogether. So peace ya'll see ya around.

Hi!, I'm new here as well but I'll tell ya what. Youtube has a bunch of great video tutorials for both photoshop and GIMP. Also check out google you can find sig tutorials everywhere. Make sure you have an idea of a render you would like to use. You can find a bunch of cool renders if you google video game renders or anime renders what ever floats your boat. Then go to images and see what strikes your fancy. Hope this gets you started. Nice meeting you by the way.
