Hi!

Hello,

i'm a Gimp User since a long time, i guess since 2.0, but i just started using Gimp for more than private 5 minute use in the last years. Right now i use the Gimp for most of my imaging needs as Web-Freelancer (Design & Coding) as well as for creating Flyers (etc.) and Background-Textures / Patterns. I visited some basic Graphic Data Processing studies (algorithmic level with matlab), so i have a good understanding of filters etc.

Regards,
Markus

Awesome, do you also work on new filters, programming etc? I'd love to see some of our older filter ideas programmed into something real.

Anyway, welcome to Gimper!

Hey Markus,
It's always cool to find someone interested in the math and algorithms that go into image processing. A buddy of mine develops image analysis software for scientific microscopes. I've helped him some and reviewed a text book of concepts on it.

Pretty cool stuff,
SAM
