I am sure you will learn a lot if you stick around. You will get some great critiques with tips and links to tutorials and most importantly honest elaborate opinions (something that is very helpful and should be taken for granted as I have come to realize just recently again)
Seeing that you are very open for critique by putting your very first work up already tells me that you surely won't have trouble opening up
I suggest you make a new topic in the "Large Art" subforum, for us to critique it
