forum/thread watching

Postby sglider12 » Tue May 27, 2008 2:11 am

whenever i created a new thread or reply to one, i am automatically subscribed to watch it. so basically whenever someone else responds to it after me, the forum emails me telling me so. i know how to unsubscribe from threads, but how do i keep it from subscribing me all together? i can't find an option anywhere... 8O

Individually: When you create a new thread or post a reply, uncheck the box entitled "Notify me when a reply is posted" above the Preview, Submit, Save, & Cancel buttons.

By default: User Control Panel > Board Preferences > > Change "Notify me upon replies by default" to "No."

Hmm.. I looked at the user panel and you just go to:

User Control Panel -> Manage subscriptions

yes tried that. but the forum will automatically subscribe you to anything you create or respond to..

is there a way to keep it from doing that?

I think someone mentioned it earlier

Go to this link ucp.php?i=prefs&mode=post

Turn off "Notify me upon replies by default:" and remove the remaining subscriptions it should work since I have both of them off =/ and when I write it doesn't send me any mail
