using the text tool, writing the text into the window that opens, I don't know where the text goes; it does not show up in the photo. Whatever I may be doing wrong - any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Re replies: the text layer was on top, the text window large enough. The text does not show. If anyone has any idea why - thank you

Im kinda guessing you haven specified the size of the text window (if you have specified an area at all) and the text is either going nowhere or in a really small area!

Also, be sure that the text layer is above the photo layer and it's visible.
