Recoloring PSD Wordpress theme background files tutorial?

Postby Local » Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:49 am

Howdy:

Looking for a specific tutorial on recoloring PSD background files provided with a Wordpress theme to produce new color schemes.

e.g. using the PSDs to change this theme background: demo.studiopress.com/metric/ ...from the blue to a red or green background.

Thanks!

Wow...had no idea this would be that hard! ...30+ views in 10 days...and not a single word?

Let me be more specific. I'm talking about two files:

1px × 470px - //demo.studiopress.com/metric/wp-content/themes/metric/images/bg.png

960px × 470px - //demo.studiopress.com/metric/wp-content/themes/metric/images/wrap.png

The PSD files are now blue. How can I use Gimp to make them green?

Thanks again!
