The Story
Ever since i started using Gimp 5 months ago i was annoyed by the fact we couldn't use the lovely themes available to linux based users.
then the other day i noticed how Gimphoto.com had gotten GTK which runs Linux themes for numerous Os's/applications including gimp, so i did a few google searches, and it turns out that its nothing new just not many know about it, Alexander Shaduri from http://gtk-win.sourceforge.net/ has compiled GTK and its Preference Tool to run under windows operating systems for a while now.

i then for my own use looked into how Gimpohoto did there's and then re-did my own using newer versions of GTK  from http://gtk-win.sourceforge.net/, it wasn't easy as i thought, it has a few files that need to be put in different locations in gimp's folder for it to work,  but that's the good news because i've created an installer package that installs all the files in the right place with a click of a button

be sure to spread the word by Digging and giving the Thumbs up if your a stumbler

Instructions:
1: Download Gimp themes v1.0.zip.
2: Unzip the file and run the installation file "Gimp themes v1.0.msi"
3: Now you can access the theme changer from the
shortcut "Gimp themes" found on your desktop and under start menu/programs/Gimp and select 1 of the 15 cool themes to use! Enjoy!

just a few notes:
be sure to read the Readme file for credits http://gimper.net/index.php?topic=627.0
also if you installed gimp in another folder other then default then your going to need to point the installation to where you installed gimp.

I'm not a windows user but way cool! Don't you dare kill that link! Maybe one day I'll need it 

Ginp inherits it's themes from the gtkrc in linux, so whatever your GTKRC theme is in gnome, it will look like that to match it.

now, if you get the theme files from the installer and put it in  your ~home\username\.themes\ folder, you will have 15 more themes to choose from in gnome, BUT these are common themes that usually come with the standard gnome in stall, or are easily attainable.
