Usually when you setup a new website you should decide on calling it example.com or www.example.com. This has not be done with gimper.net and you could access the website with both the www prefix and without.
It is important to decide one way or the other as having it both ways may confuse search engines. Normally we could have a poll to decide, but Google already made the choice for us.
In all search results it refers to our forum as simply gimper.com. I made it official then, redirecting all www traffic and confirming it with google.

I am such a geek...it simply means that if you type www.gimper.net in your browser window it will automatically change to gimper.net (the wwww part will be gone)

This is pretty cool, I thought that the www was actually necessary for directing traffic on the web, and browsers would "add" it in when you didn't type it.
