    Hello guys,
I am really frustrated. I have been trying to find a script that will do this for me but can't. I basically have thousands of .png files and I want to convert them to .bmp . It's as simple as that. The steps I take to do this in gimp are:
    1) Open the .png file.
    2) Goto file save-as.
    3) Change the extension from .png to .bmp and save. (leaving the "advanced settings" to default.. that is save as 32bit "ARGB")

    An example image is here: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.amanithvg.com/testsuite/amani...n_swap.png" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.amanithvg.com/testsuite/amani...n_swap.png</a>

I want to do repeatedly for all the image files. Can someone please help me. It's so simple but I don't really know much scripting.

    Thanks!

This can easily be done with GAP!
    1. Install:
    <a class="postlink" href="http://photocomix-resources.deviantart.com/art/GAP-2-6-for-Gimp-2-6-Windows-135464357" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://photocomix-resources.deviantart. ... -135464357</a>
    2. Open all the images as layers
    3. Click Video > Split images to frames.
    4. For filetype use .bmp

    Thats it!
It should now save the individual layers as bmp files!

Can't get your image from the site, but looked at some of the others. If it is just a bunch of images to convert then there is the gimp plugin, Davids Batch Convertor

alternatively there is ImageMagick from the command line.
