    Hey there!

I’ve written a little bash script, gimp-razor, to automate the process of compiling the gimp’s latest development version and its dependencies, which should work fine on a fresh ubuntu install. As of now, it's known to work on 12.04 and 12.10.

The script is modular enough so you should be able to adapt it to your own needs or distro.

    Here it is:

    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.zanshine.com/blog/stephane-richard/software/2011-10-05/cutting-edge-gimp-in-latest-ubuntu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.zanshine.com/blog/stephane-r ... st-ubuntu/</a>

I hope it could be of a little help to some of you ;)

Sounds lovely :D Too bad I'm not using ubuntu any more so I won't be able to test it.

    Thanks for sharing! :)
