Using Gimp 2.6.11 in WindowsXP SP3. When trying to open a jpg image I get:
"The procedure entry point BZ2-BZREAD could not be located in the dynamic link librarybzip2.dll"
    Then I get:
    "Plug-in crashed ufraw-gimp.exe"
How do I get it to work?
    Thanks,
    Nathan
PS. I am a photographer not a programmer.

i know know that you have downloaded UFRaw.
    Thats good.... :p

What operating system do you use?
    Windows, Mac or linux ?

Try reinstalling UFRaw, but makesure its the right operating system!
    <a class="postlink" href="http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Install.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Install.html</a>

Also, where do you open the jpg from? dircetly from the camera?
If thats the case, why do you want UFRaw?

Maybe your camera isnt supported, check the list:
    <a class="postlink" href="http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Cameras.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Cameras.html</a>

Also, did you open it with UFRaw or Gimp with the UFRaw plugin?

Im just trowing out solutions here.
I suggest try 1 by 1 until it works (or doesnt)
Im gonna download UFRaw myself and see if i can make it work!

    Using Windows XP SP3.
Downloaded and installed the latest GIMP 2.6.11. Assumed that everything needed came with the installation package because this how it worked in the past.
I assume that because I try to open it with Gimp the UFRaw plugin must be somehow involved.
The jpg image(s) which I am trying to open is on my computer. I want to open it just as I would open it in any other photo editing program.
Many thanks for trying to help.
    Nathan

As you suggested downloaded and re-installed UFRaw and everything seems to work fine.
    Well, till next time.
Now trying to get my Wacom tablet to work with GIMP. Much more challenging.
Thanks a million for your patience and help.

Most of these types of errors stem from the dll missing or the program is calling multiple dll's with the same name.
