so is there one for gimp ? i know you can seperately stretch and rotate with seperate tools and shortcuts in gimp, but in photoshop you can just press ctrl-T and then you can rotate, stretch, move, and skew to any angle all at once. Is there somethin similar in gimp?

I think it is the iWarp filter and there's a topic of it in action. :)

Asking HIM isn't an option? :D

    To answer your question:
Everything of the things you mentioned is perfectly doable in GIMP, but not all inside one tool. It's the IWarp-, Rotate-, Scale- and Move-Tool you will need for what the PS "free transformation" can do.

You can download the src each night as it changes in development Maffe. =)
    Files included are, babl-0.1.3.tar.bz2, gegl-0.1.3.tar.bz2, and Gimp-2.7.2.tar/bz2
All the necessary tarballs to build it.

Each one of these are updated constantly. In fact gegl and babl just changed from -0.1.2 to -0.1.3.
Download link..and instructions to build from git are here
    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.chromecode.com/2009/10/nightly-gimp-gegl-babl-tarball-builds.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.chromecode.com/2009/10/night ... uilds.html</a>
You should be more or less able to do it with wget for windows also using msys.
I am however learning there are so many dependencies, it's unreal. When i do get it working, and i will.
The zip folder with all the dependencies and build shell script will be made available for download with the GPL.
