I installed XQuartz after I upgraded to Mountain Lion. Gimp won't work at all now! Any suggestions?

Currently trying to install Mountain Lion. Wouldn't install on my bootup disc, so now I'm backing up so I can reinstall Lion... blabla. I expect better, Apple! Lol. Thanks for the tip, though!

I installed Mountain Lion, then XQuartz. Then logged out and back in.

Now when I start Gimp, a dialogue box pops up saying "Choose Application. Where is X11?" with a Finder window. Any ideas?

    Hej Joe

I've done as you suggest: re-installed XQuartz an re-booted. When I drag now a foto to GIMP, a Window appears with all Apps, asking "Where is X11?" XQuartz is placed in "Utilities" as well as in "Applications". After a while the window vanishes. Game over. Can you help?

Thanks from Switzerland to Southern California. Does it rally never rain there?

"You make me happy!" It really works! But perhaps I was not patient enough first. It takes more than the time to drink a cup of coffee. Thank you very much!

It looks like the integrated browser causes the application to lockup on Mountain Lion.
