    Hello,
Does anyone have any samples on morphing one word into another? If possible I would llike to start with one word, do some type of twisting morph type of effect so it changes into another word. Something like the word Up morphs into down

    Thanks

Hm ... can you give us a small drawing explaining your request? It's not too clear to me. Do you want an animation? Or an image that contains both words and the morphing?

If you want to do a single image, I guess you should check out Gimps IWarp filter. It's found at "Filters > Distort > IWarp" as far as I remember. Then write down both words on 2 seperate layers, use the IWarp to shrink and twist, then distort the end of the words as you like.

For animations, wait until Maffe is back from his holiday trip ;) I don't know anything about that.

So, im not home yet, so imma give you a quick tip!

IF you want an animation you can open the iwarp tool and check a little box saying "animation" or something.
Then when you morph/warp it, ill will later create alot of layers showing you the text you had morph the way you did it.

This should give you a good starting point.

Thanks for the tips, I don't need an animation just the text to morph. I'll check out the IWarp filter

To make the text warp it needs to be animated.

    Well, not necessarily...

Get a text that gets smaller on the right side until it's too small to read, then make it go bigger again as the text goes on and let it read something different.

If you know what I'm trying to say :D

basicly an animation, but instead of the frames changing, displaying them all at the same time but side by side?

But to morph it still needs to be animated.

Hm... but you can give it a twirly effect in the middle where it comes in as one word and becomes another word on the other side.

I get your point tho ;D
