    Hi,

Is there any way in GIMP by which I can increase the line width of a waveform. I am having a .bmp file in which the line width of waveform is quite less so it does not come clear in a printout.

    Thanks and regards,
    Sanjay

You would need to use the paths tool and create a path along the line, then stroke the path with a larger brush.

Or select from color /rectangle select tool followed by the good old copy + paste.

I would use the paths option as it will save clearer i think.
Could you possibly, let us see the image?

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. However, it is still not clear to me how to use it as I am a novice in using GIMP.

How can I attach my .bmp file? I do not see any upload link here.

    Thanks and regards,
    Sanjay

just upload it to image shack and paste the url to it in your next thread like this. =)
    Code:
    [img]image url here[img]

or just paste the page link and then we can just click on that, either way will work.

Using the paths tool would work excellent.
How much do you want to increase the width?

choose the paths tool make a path like this
    [IMG]

now go to edit stroke path and select a stroke width click ok
Gimp will stroke the path for you. =)
