I have an image I just cut out using scissor select tool and I want to put some kind of border around the image to define the edges. Is that possible? Or is there an option in Scissor select tool that I can use.

Just like this one (Not actual image):

    Thank you.

im not sure if i understand you correctly, but if I need to add a border to something like a render I'd rightclick its layer -> Alpha to selection -> Edit -> Stroke selection.

hmm... i hope that makes sense ;D

Yeah same here, if i understand you correctly, I would do something similar. On the render layer, go to Layer>Transparency>Alpha to Selection, then create a new layer, put it below the render layer, grow the selection by going to Select>Grow and finally filling that selection with whatever color.

Or if you wanted you could get the "bucket" and choose a color, then use it on the sides.
