I'm glad to announce the release of

GIMP 2.6.3 for Leopard / Intel

You can download this release from

    GIMP on OS X

    New in this release:

    Updates:
    GIMP 2.6.3

    New plugin:
    Normalmap 1.21, see http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/normalmap

Please read the file "Important notes.rtf" included in the package. It contains some really useful information.

Hi, I've a MacBook Pro, I've installed Gimp 2.6 into my applications folder and downloaded Gimp 2.6.3 last night. I tried installing 2.6.3 with no luck. Actually, I don't know what to do. I downloaded Gimp from Gimp on OSX.

So what do I do? Uninstall 2.6 and install 2.6.3?

I put a post on gimp.org who referred to things like the source installer

Tania, with so little information you gave, it's hard to make any suggestion. I just downloaded the file, moved it into the applications folder and run it. I also have a mac book pro.

The only strange thing is that if I ask "About Gimp" it says it's 2.6.2 version.

 ... are you sure, you've downloaded the newest release?
I've just redownloaded Leopard / Intel from
    http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html
and the menu entry "Help -> About" reports 2.6.3.

BTW, the PPC version is still 2.6.2., but the new 2.6.3 will follow soon.
