First Photos

    Alright, so far sense getting gimp about a week ago and looking at some of the tuts on these boards and such I have done two photos. One just playing around, one for a friend. I'd be greatful for any thoughts you who have been using it awhile have on how I did. Please lemme know aye?

    They're look good to me! :)

    On the old photo one, maybe you could use the prospective tool, or the crop tool to get the bottom straight. -- Maybe that's just my monkish tendencies coming out. lol

    Overall, I think you did great! :)

    Cheers L7hope, I think maybe you're right about the perspective tool, soon as I can I may fix that. The eye was actually the hardest bit and I'm still not happyu with how it's come out.

    Cheers once more all. I just need to find out how to add colour to the cheers of the colour photo, she's got a slightly plastic look going.

    Aye, she looks pissed. I have only one issue with that touch-up and that's that I made her too flat, I need to touch it just a little more, add some shadows to the cheek and then blend it back just to loose the 2d look she has going.
