    What's wrong with it?

I don't have facebook or twitter, but one who has could get one for Gimper and link to one tutorial every day (doesn't matter on with webpage). I mean, cmon we've got +70 users online all the time (mostly guests but nevermind).

Another really good idea is to get the forum involved into Posterous, and submit some of the more informative topics as a blog post. This could drive traffic to this site quickly. As well as stumbleupon, digg, reddit.

The problem is that there are not enough active members to start such things at the moment :/ I'd still say a Youtube channel with tutorials by EVERY user (after a Mod/Admin checked it) who wants to submit one would be the best.

Well that is exactly why i give my flickr and gimp rocks blog links in my sig. That leads to other forums such as this one.
If you give the links in all your sigs for all your forums you will attract other members.
I have the link to my blog in all my sigs because my blog has links to all my forums i use.
As well as some really handy links to the coolest scripts and downloads. <- shoutout for me! LOL

I think the Youtube-idea might work, in fact I know some useful tricks that I could make a tut of. But there is this language problem: for me it's a bit hard to write anything sensible in english.

Where would the tutorials go? I had posted a few tutorials to gimp-tutorials.net a while back and it's been over a year and still no mod/admin has approved them so the site must be dead.

Also as far as installation and configuration of software goes I'm a Unix/Linux admin by profession so I could help you set up gimper.net/blog. I configure Apache regularly, I see you're running it based on the request headers with the site.

    *EDIT:
Ah never mind. I just realized how old this thread was. I assume you guys never did it since gimper.net/blog gives "Error establishing a database connection"

    Hi Sagteck.
As far as where to put tutorials, the tutorials forum is fine. Gimp-tutorials is pretty much long since dead. But yeah, we did have the blog up for a bit, but something happened and we never used it so we let it die. Thanks for the offer though!

I'm finally going to unpin and close this topic guys.
