I just discovered the musical Les Misérables this year, and it has inflamed in me a deep passion for theatre. Honestly. What an incredible story. If you haven't seen it, watch it here. This is a concert version - there are still costumes, but when singing, they just stand in front of a mic. It's still incredible :D

Also, the new movie comes out Christmas Morning. I'm going to die of excitement!
If you don't like Les Mis, what musicals do you guys like?

I haven't watched it, but my grandmother claims to love it. I'll have to give it a shot.

I visited some Musicals/Operas/Theatres back in my school time, and only watched one online, "A Very Potter Musical", basically a comedy version of Harry Potter.
I've seen some German classics like "Der Freischütz" (opera), Die Physiker (theatre) etc. But you probably don't know any of them :p Our school's music- and German classes took us around to several of these, they take these German cultural things pretty seriously here as I experienced. Schiller/Goethe/Kleist and people like Haydn (yeah I know he's really an Austrian, but hey, he composed our national anthem! :D), Beethoven and Mozart (Technically also born in Austria) were topics everyone HAD to do in my schools. But hey, looking back at it I wouldn't complain ;)

No, I'm not surprised! It's cool though! A friend of mine just moved to Russia. Totally unrelated. Lol.
