I hope they release it soon - I want a stable single window gimp :/

2.7.1 - kept freezing on my computer - I had to reinstall 2.6.10 - and then upgrade to 2.6.11

Yeah you should just use it for testing like the developers warned.I downloaded and installed 2.7 in its own directory to avoid un-installing 2.6.11.
I haven't had one problem with 2.7 yet.Seems to run great on Windows xp.I even have Python and Adobe plug-ins running in it. =)

That is probably what is going to happen. They will not release a unstable version, and there are currently still 32 bugs to work out...all minor bugs though. :)

I still think they will release a version that is unstable just to test though.Although it may not have the entire kitchen sink included, it should be worthwhile to download and check out, maybe find, and report some bugs for the development team.

Ahh well maybe the beginning of the New Year. :p

Well it is tax season. I guess I have 50 or so bucks I can donate to a program I love. I hope they get it figuered out and get a new person in there soon. I would hate to see such a great program die because of lack of team. I am sure though that even if the orig team did die that some one would take the project over. GIMP is widely used around the world.
